February Days
Longer shadows
Brighter
Days
Kids and skates
And open sleighs
Along pleasant
Country
Ways.
Bright fires now
On lakes and
Ponds
Will warm cold
Hands and feet,
And pancakes
These mornings
Are maple
Syrup
Sweet
Buckets on old
Old maple
Trees
Now tell
That month
Is here…
The sweetest
And the
Shortest
Of all the
Country
Year.
