A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a centralized charitable account. It allows charitably inclined individuals, families, and businesses to make tax-deductible charitable donations of cash, publicly-traded stock, and, in some cases, certain illiquid assets, to Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly.

For more information on a donor-advised fund, click here, email us or call at 617-524-8882.

A gift to LBFE Boston is a thoughtful way to remember someone who has passed away, or honor a loved one for their birthday, holiday, or special occasion. We will send a card to recognize your kindness to whom you designate.

You may make an honorary gift by cash, check, or online today.

Do you have a birthday or special occasion coming up? Start a Facebook Fundraiser to encourage your friends to support a cause that’s meaningful to you – ending isolation and loneliness among the elderly!

If you prefer, you may donate stock to Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly. Email Nikki Shults or call 617-524-8882 for our stock transfer information.

Be an advocate for LBFE! If you are moved by our mission and our work, chances are your friends and colleagues may be as well. Plan your own event to raise funds for intergenerational programs. Ideas include house parties, golf tournaments, and happy hours. Use your creativity to motivate others to support elders in your community. Call Robert at 617-524-8882 to learn more.

Many people choose to leave a gift to charity in their will to support the causes that have been so important to them in their lives. That’s because planned giving is one of the easiest tools available to provide for loved ones, lower estate taxes, and ensure charitable interests live on – all without costing a single penny today.

As a partner of LBFE, you have shown a commitment to providing companionship to isolated elders and bettering our community in your lifetime. But your impact doesn’t have to stop there. There are many simple options, including:

  • Writing LBFE Boston into your will with a set dollar amount or percentage of your estate/assets
  • Naming us as a beneficiary of an insurance policy or retirement plan
  • Establishing a charitable trust that benefits LBFE

In-Kind donations for our programs or operations keep our costs low. We accept donations of program supplies including craft kits, art supplies, games, gift cards (Target, Stop & Shop, Whole Foods, Amazon) and office supplies such as printer paper and stamps, or services such as web management, design work, or other professional services.
