Building Connections. Fostering Friendships. Connecting Generations. Creating Community. Ending Social Isolation.
LBFE Boston is a community-based nonprofit that helps relieve and prevent social isolation by bringing intergenerational, digital equity, and arts programs to older adults in public/affordable senior housing and community centers.
Happy Valentine's Day! #HappeningNow-LBFE Boston joins Everyday Boston in supporting their 7th annual “Love Your Wicked Awesome Neighbor” Challenge #LYWAN! "Strangers are just neighbors you don’t know yet. And everyone can use a little extra kindness."
LBFE's older adult & student program participants helped contribute to making the 11,000 Valentine's cards that will spread kindness across Boston today! Look out for Program Director Stephenie Hisman-Hou distributing this afternoon at Roxbury Branch of the Boston Public Library!
Have your voice heard! Age Strong is hosting Listening Sessions for Boston’s older adult residents age 60+. Listening sessions offer a place for these community members to voice their thoughts on how to make the city a better place to live & age. The next listening session will take place on Thursday, Feb. 13, at the Hyde Park Branch of the Boston Public Library in Hyde Park. We want to hear from your ideas on how to make Boston more age-friendly. For more information & to RSVP, call 617-635-1953 or visit boston.gov/departments/age-strong-commission/2024-2025-age-strong-needs-assessment. ... See MoreSee Less
