What We Do

LBFE Boston works to relieve isolation and loneliness among the elderly through intergenerational programming. We bring college students into senior housing buildings, senior centers, and assisted living communities across the city for weekly social engagements, creative activities, and computer classes.

Thank you for the service you do🙏

Welcome, Jean!

Teresa helps program participants at Hassan Apartments learn about Google Apps on their Chromebooks.

One recent Pew study showed that 'older adults continue to lag behind younger adults when it comes to technology adoption in that 41% do not use the internet at all, 23% do not use cell phones, and over 75% say they require help when learning how to use new technology.'

Our Digital Dividends program aims to close the digital divide for adults in Boston public senior housing by giving laptops and six-months of internet connectivity free of charge along with weekly training.
