What We Do

Since 1979 LBFE Boston's nonprofit mission has been to help relieve isolation and loneliness among our older neighbors. By connecting residents of affordable & public housing with local college students, we facilitate lasting intergenerational friendships through weekly social, educational, creative, and technology programs.

#TMYK IMPACT. Together with our community partners, we are building a citywide, accessible, and sustainable network of intergenerational social program sites. Check out & please share our program impact for this Spring 2023!

Our CitySites programs are multicultural and frequently multilingual. In bringing older and younger people together, we strengthen the social connections of program participants as well as the larger community by building bridges across generational, educational, cultural, economic, and linguistic differences.
