For health and safety concerns LBFE will not be hosting our Annual Thanksgiving Day Luncheon. Instead we will hold smaller celebrations at our Intergenerational CitySites and Digital Dividends programs.
Older and younger adults will participate in special holiday themed programs such as pumpkin painting, gratefulness exercises, cookie decorating, and so much more!
Participants in our tech programs will learn how to send e-cards and create/share presentations on what the holidays mean to them.
Back by popular demand is our Holiday Buddies program. Volunteers will be matched with an older adult from Nov 1 – Jan 1 to keep each other in the holiday spirit. Volunteers are asked to call on Thanksgiving, Christmas/Hanukah, and New Year’s days as well as regular check-in calls. Buddies will exchange cards and have an option to exchange small gifts.

Corporate and large volunteer groups are invited to partner with LBFE to spread holiday cheer to our older neighbors and friends. Groups will be asked to provide and deliver care packages to long term care communities.
